If you use the Ghost wizard and tell it you want to back up to a CD/DVD (I think they call it recordable media rather than a file), it will go into DOS and start creating the image and write it to a DVD. Close it up, burn it and you can drop the image on a pc just by popping in the cd and booting the system. I boot into there by pressing F12 during boot-up to display the list of boot options. I tried to boot into a Ghost virtual partition but that made things MUCH worse. May I ask what your BIOS settings are? Did you make any changes to it to get Ghost to work? Or do you use any switches? I would think that given the widespread popularity of Ghost 2003 as well as Dell is selling SATA drives in most of their new models that my issue is fairly common among many users right now.
